The Home Builders Association supports industry interests in legislation at the local, state, and Federal level. Every day, NAHB taps the grassroots strength of over 235,000 members to defeat excessive regulations and defend affordable housing initiatives on Capitol Hill. In Baton Rouge, the Louisiana Home Builders Association uses its “Red Shirt Days” to turn out its 6,300 members from across the state any time harmful legislation comes before the legislature. Marketing

Associate members can meet and market to builders at numerous annual events from the famous Crawfish Boil – which attracts more than 800 attendees every spring – to the Kick-Ass Cook-off, the HBA’s summer time cooking extravaganza. For those looking to spend some time quality face time with their builder clients, the HBA also hosts a two-day summer time fishing rodeo in the angler-friendly Gulf of Mexico and a fall golf tournament that rotated between area courses.
